TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to The Legend. Mongolia. These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Sunrise Travel Bureau LLC (the Operator) and the traveler (the Envoy). By confirming a booking and paying the deposit, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. THE LEGEND ENROLLMENT (BOOKING & CONFIRMATION)

• Deposit Requirement: To secure your spot in an expedition, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total journey cost is required.
• The Protocol: Upon receipt of the deposit, your booking status is elevated to "Confirmed." You will receive your digital Envoy Welcome Kit, which includes the detailed itinerary, a specialized gear guide, and the Gerege personalization form.
• Finalization: The booking is a legal contract between the Operator and the Envoy.

2. PAYMENT ARCHITECTURE

• Final Balance: The remaining 70% of the expedition cost must be settled no later than 60 days prior to the departure date.
• Late Payments: Failure to complete the payment within this timeframe may result in the automatic cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
• Payment Methods: Payments are processed securely via Bonum Gateway, supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, and major international credit cards.

3. CANCELLATION & REFUND PROTOCOL

Due to the exclusive nature of our mobile glamping setups and long-term logistics (flight bookings, private chefs, and gear procurement), the following fees apply:

• 61+ days before departure: Loss of deposit (30%).
• 31–60 days before departure: 50% of the total journey cost is retained.
• 30 days or less before departure: 100% of the total journey cost is retained (No refund).

4. THE ADAPTIVE ITINERARY (CHANGES & AMENDMENTS)

• Nature of the Frontier: Traveling in remote Mongolia (Gobi, Altai, Taiga) involves unpredictability. We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to weather, nomadic movements, or safety considerations.
• Envoy Requests: Requests to change dates or realms after confirmation are subject to a $250 USD administration fee plus any cost differences, subject to availability.

5. MANDATORY EXPEDITION INSURANCE

All Envoys are required to hold a comprehensive travel insurance policy.

• Minimum Coverage: The policy must cover medical emergencies, emergency helicopter evacuation ($50,000 minimum), trip interruption, and loss of personal belongings.
• The Legend. Mongolia is not liable for any costs incurred due to insufficient insurance coverage.

6. HEALTH, FITNESS & MEDICAL DISCLOSURE

• Physical Levels: Our expeditions (specifically Altai and Taiga) are physically demanding. By booking, you certify that you do not have any physical or mental condition that would create a hazard for yourself or other travelers.
• Disclosure: You must notify the Concierge of any pre-existing medical conditions or severe allergies at the time of booking.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

• Third Parties: Sunrise Travel Bureau LLC acts as an intermediary for various independent suppliers (airlines, local guides). We are not liable for injury, damage, loss, or delay caused by these third parties.
• Inherent Risk: You acknowledge that expedition-style travel involves inherent risks, including remote medical access and rugged terrain. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with the journey.

8. FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or sudden border closures. In such events, we will issue a Travel Credit for a future expedition, minus non-recoverable costs already paid to suppliers.

9. IMAGE & MEDIA RELEASE

During the expedition, our team may take photographs or videos. By participating, you grant The Legend. Mongolia the right to use such media for promotional or marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt-out in writing prior to departure.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of Mongolia. Any disputes shall be settled through amicable negotiation or, failing that, in the courts of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
